For metal components used in industrial facilities, construction sites, or the maritime sector, time is the greatest enemy. Corrosion, which emerges when humidity, oxidation, and chemical effects combine, is not just a visual pollutant but also a significant safety risk. At Atlas Group, we restore your metal surfaces to their original strength and extend their lifespan by decades.
How to Stop Corrosion?
Simply painting is no different than spreading a blanket over rust. Rust continues to progress under the paint. A real struggle against corrosion requires two stages of professionalism:
1. Proper Sandblasting (Surface Preparation)
For paint to adhere to metal at a molecular level, the surface must be completely bare and roughened (profiled).
SA 2.5 Standard: This is the process of cleaning 95% of the metal from rust, old paint, and mill scale. At Atlas Group, we base our projects on these international standards.
Stainless Steel Blasting: We clean contamination on the surface with special abrasives without damaging the surface texture of stainless steels.
2. Industrial Coating Techniques
Metal exposed after sandblasting begins to oxidize the moment it comes into contact with air. Therefore, a protective layer must be applied without delay:
Powder Coating: Provides extra resistance against impacts on small and medium-sized parts.
Wet Paint (Epoxy and Polyurethane): Especially for large structures sandblasted on-site, epoxy primers with the highest corrosion resistance and polyurethane topcoats resistant to sunlight should be preferred.
Production Efficiency with Mold Sandblasting
Not only giant structures, but also production molds in factories benefit from our sandblasting service. Regular cleaning of molds with sandblasting increases the surface quality of the produced product while minimizing scrap rates.
